I really hated most of the maps in MW2019, to the point where I wish I could only play on remastered MW classic maps.

Jump shotting is still and issue though, personally I think that jumping should force you out of ADS, and in exchange I would be OK with allowing hipfire with no delay while sliding.Īs for map design, I think that this is a huge win for MW2. I always thought there was a disconnect in MW2 between the gritty and grounded gunplay and the wonky and crazy movement. Some people have described MW2 movement as "clunky", but personally I really like these changes as it makes the game feel more grounded and tactical.

In addition, movement speed and weapon handling seem to have been slowed down. MW2 has nerfed sliding by making the player unable to shoot for a moment while sliding. In MW2019 you could slide, slide cancel, and jump while ADSing and shooting, and player movement/weapon handling was lightning fast. These being erratic and OP movement, map design, and oppressive skill based matchmaking (maybe fixed? Maybe not?) MW2 has addressed, and in some cases completely fixed, my biggest issues with MW2019.

I will never pre order a game, but unless something goes horribly wrong it's looking like a day one buy for me. Overall I'm happy with how MW2 is looking though there are some significant issues, it has adressed my biggest issues with MW2019.
REDDIT MODERN WARFARE EIGHT THOUGHTS PC
While I'm not always the biggest fan of CoD, I've been playing off and on for over 10 years, and in the last couple of years MW2019 has been one of my favorite shooters on PC (I haven't played Cold War or Vanguard).
